Harnessing Zimbabwe’s minerals through investment, expertise, and sustainable mining to drive national growth and development
MGR’s principal producing and development portfolio is anchored by Freda Rebecca Gold Mine, Shamva Mine and Jena Mine. Together, these assets provide the group with a diversified gold production base across established Zimbabwean greenstone belts, combining mature production infrastructure with significant exploration, reserve-conversion and operational turnaround potential.

Freda Rebecca Gold Mine, located in Bindura within the Shamva–Harare Greenstone Belt, is one of MGR’s key production engines. It has an established processing platform, a long production history and a low-grade, high-volume operating model. Strategically, the mine provides cash-generation capacity and processing scale, while its immediate resource priority is to improve mineral resource visibility, strengthen grade confidence and extend Life of Mine through accelerated exploration and resource delineation.
Harnessing Zimbabwe’s minerals through investment, expertise, and sustainable mining to drive national growth and development.
MGR’s resource strategy is focused on improving geological confidence, increasing measured and indicated resources, converting resources into reserves and extending Life of Mine across all operating assets. This includes systematic exploration, updated block models, reserve audits, mine planning discipline and the development of JORC/SAMREC-ready resource and reserve statements.
The company’s growth pathway is centred on moving from a current production base toward staged increases in monthly gold output, with the long-term ambition of developing a scalable, resilient and sustainable gold platform.
Beyond its core producing mines, MGR’s broader portfolio includes greyfield, brownfield and turnaround opportunities that may support future growth, subject to technical evaluation, capital discipline and clear investment prioritisation.
These assets provide optionality for future resource development, revival or partnership-based operating models.
